Endeavor: Rehab for Young Adults

Our Endeavor for Young Adults program addresses the recovery needs of emerging adults who are ready to seek treatment for their substance abuse. If this is your first attempt to break free from your addiction, we’re glad that you are considering Elan Recovery + Wellness. If you have struggled to stay the course of your recovery after receiving treatment elsewhere, don’t give up hope. Don’t give up trying. Despite what the world might be telling you, relapse is not an inevitable part of the recovery process. We know that with the right help from the right treatment program, you can get sober without relapsing. We want to help you get sober— and stay sober— the first time. And if you do your part and we do ours, the Endeavor for Young Adults program at Elan Recovery + Wellness can help you achieve lifelong sobriety.

This program is beneficial for any young adult struggling with addiction, whether he or she has already been to treatment or not. It is also a valuable resource for those who have had trouble connecting with others during treatment in the past. Being surrounded by a supportive clinical community and peers who are committed to their own recovery is a vital part of rehab for young adults. So, finding a program that’s the right fit for you can mean the difference between recovery and relapse. This is why Elan Recovery + Wellness offers age-centric treatment tracks through the Endeavor program.

What Makes Rehab for Young Adults Different from Other Programs?

Addiction is a complex disease that can bring about any number of physical, psychological, financial, and even legal consequences. It is especially challenging for people who have just barely entered adulthood. Your late teens and early twenties is a stage of your life that is full of changes. And, more often than not, these changes come all at once. You may be:

  • Struggling to find or keep a job
  • Trying to establish a career path
  • Living on your own for the first time
  • Attending, finishing, or leaving school
  • Moving to another city for work, school, or family
  • Managing every nickel and dime to make ends meet

Keeping up with these changes and trying to figure out life is hard, but it can be next to impossible when battling an addiction. No matter what your reasons were for turning to drugs or alcohol, the rehab for young adults offered at Elan Recovery + Wellness can help. Through our Endeavor for Young Adults treatment track, you’ll learn healthy ways of coping with feelings of pain, shame, guilt, trauma, and more. By the time you graduate this program, you’ll realize that you’re smarter and stronger than you ever imagined.

How The Young Adult Program Track Works

The Endeavor for Young Adults program utilizes relevant, targeted interventions to engage young adults who have either entered treatment for the first time or have previously been resistant to treatment. This program also provides evidence- and research-based therapies to manage cravings, ease post-acute withdrawal symptoms, and treat co-existing disorders like depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Such therapies include:

  • Family therapy
  • Adventure therapy
  • AA/NA participation
  • Biofeedback therapy
  • EMDR/trauma therapy
  • Individual and group therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)

Family Therapy in Young Adult Rehab

Once every month, family members are offered process-based counseling through our Family Weekend program. The goal of these weekends is to address and put an end to any family dysfunction that enables addictive behaviors. In our Family Weekend program, family members learn about what addiction is like for their loved one and receive intensive counseling to help heal and restore their broken relationships.
