Brian Murphy, MS, LMHC
Brian Murphy has been committed to serving in the areas of social work and therapy for the last 16 years, with the most recent 6 years practicing in the substance abuse and co-occurring treatment setting.
Brian is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) having earned his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in the area of psychology and sociology and his master’s degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University in mental health counseling. There, he also completed specialization in marriage and family therapy. Brian is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), the trauma counseling approach of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and integrating spirituality within clinical treatment and recovery.
As a primary therapist at Elan Recovery and Wellness, Brian enjoys helping his clients and their families’ experience the freedom and wellness through the great start and plan for recovery Elan’s treatment provides. Brian is very inspired in his work due to witnessing many people achieve lasting change and victory over addiction through their work and commitment to winning their battle over addiction.
He welcomes the challenge of teaming up with the Elan staff and its clients against the disease of addiction to see lives radically changed mentally/emotionally, physically and spiritually.
